Home Bargains shoppers go wild for new 99p Barratt retro sweets fizzy drinks

Bargain shoppers have been sent into a frenzy by a new drinks range available at Home Bargains, inspired by classic childhood sweets.

The budget retailer has become popular over the years with punters, constantly stocking up on nostalgic treats - including those of the iconic Barratt Sweets brand.

And recently they seem to have outdone themselves, launching a brand-new drinks range for dirt cheap - featuring a number of experimental household favourites in liquid form.

Uncovering the news on Facebook, the NewsfoodsUK page - which has over 270,000 followers - posted a photo of the new drinks selection, which is available from Home Bargains as a 'Star Buy' of 99p for an 850ml bottle. The post, simply read: "New Barratt Sweets inspired fizzy drinks at Home Bargains."

The photo shows that there are three Barratt inspired drinks available, in the form of Fruit Salad, Wham bar and Flumps - ideal for lovers of the retro brand and its products. And Facebook users were quick to express their delight as the news was revealed.

"Il have to try these look lush," penned one, while another, added: "you best believe I’m getting all of them," tagging a friend. A third, commented: "I bet the wham one is so good," while a fourth, said: "Fruit salad sounds pretty good."

And while many have ranted and raved in excitement about the new launch, other's have complained that they may be a little too sweet for their own tastes - with some of Barratt's confectionary in the past being known for tang and sourness.

One punter, wrote: "My teeth are falling out just looking at this picture," while another added: "My fillings are melting...."

Another, penned: "Tried these their not too bad really really sweet x," while a fourth, wrote: "Looks like a tootache and a stomach ache."
