Home Bargains shoppers 'disgusted' by the off-putting detail in latest advert

Home Bargains shoppers have been left feeling “sickened”after a new product announcement.

Posting on their own Facebook page, the popular retail store shared their new vegan and gluten free chocolate treats, writing: Vegan treats? Yes please! Have you tried the Freely Scrumptious range yet? Photo by @ameliaisvegan on Instagram”

While many are happy to see the vegan and gluten free mint chocolate slice at Home Bargains, some shoppers weren't too happy with the image the retail giant chose to share, MEN reported.

Shoppers were quick as a cat to point out the distracting detail they found lurking behind the plate of chocolate slices.

"How on earth can you advertise a plate of food with a cat on the table!!!!" one shopper snapped, adding multiple angry and sick emojis.

Another shopper added: "How to put people off. Put a cat on the table with food. Well done."

"Just makes me cringe and the thought of a Cat on a kitchen/ dining table!" A third said.

However, the feline friend didn’t put everyone off with many excited for the new vegan range.

“these look amazing and vegan friendly!” One thrilled shopper commented.

“Tried these last week and loved them!" Another Home Bargains shoppers shared.

“My son loves these he’s tried them all apart from the raspberry it’s nice to be able to get him things that are dairy and egg free for his allergies.”

Many were tagging friends and family, sharing the new addition to the Home Bargains shelves.

“Thought of you!” One said to their friend, adding lots of heart eye emojis.

Another said: “a new edition to the treat cupboard for the boys!”

Freely Scrumptious vegan chocolate mint slices are available to buy in Home Bargains now.
