Home Bargains is selling a DNA test for £4.99 - but it costs £99 to get the laboratory results.
Shoppers have been left baffled by the product, with people taking to social media to mock the discount chain.
The item is simply titled “home DNA test kit” and claims it can be used to determine maternity, paternity, sibling and other family matters.
Retailing for £4.99, it also boasts “next day results” - but shoppers have been quick to point out the extra cost for this service.
In the top left-hand side of the box, it says there is an “additional laboratory testing fee” of £99 - leading some customers to brand it “not a bargain at all”.

Posting on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains Facebook page, one person said: “£99 for it to be sent off and tested lol.”
Another added: “Additional laboratory testing fee of only £99?”
A third said: “So you pay a fiver for the test but then have to spend £99 to get it done and get result?”
A fourth said: “Yeah 4.99 but costs an arm and a leg for the actual results.”
Elsewhere, a home DNA test from Ancestry is currently on sale from £79 to £59 - and another test from MyHeritage also costs £59.
Boots charges £99 for the DNA kit, but then they too also slap on a £99 fee for the laboratory testing.
Home Bargains has more than 500 shops in the UK and is known for its super cheap deals.
The discount chain was founded 45 years ago by businessman Tom Morris who is now one of the richest people in Britain.
