Home Bargains selling novelty hot chocolate unicorn bombs for kids - and parents are crazy about them

Parents have started a novelty drink craze thanks to Home Bargains new hot chocolate bombs for children.

The £1.49 melting drinkable treat comes in the form of either a unicorn or a dinosaur and each one is filled with fluffy marshmallows which come exploding out when the chocolate bomb is put in to hot milk.

The novelty snacks have been selling out in stores, which are still open due to selling essential goods, with parents eager to get their hands on them for a treat for their kids on lockdown.

Sharing the new craze on its Instagram, Home Bargains said: "We've made drinking hot chocolate more fun than it already is. Watch your chocolate Dinosaur or Unicorn melt into liquid chocolatey goodness with extra sweet goodies to be found inside!

"Available online (case of 10, £14.90) and in store £1.49 each."

People commented in their droves, all desperate to get their hands on the novelty drinks.

One said: "My two Grandsons would LOVE these."

Another added: "I got got some Friday for this evening and also got some salted caramel chocolate melts."

A third said: "These look yummy for a trip to home bargs when everythings back to normal."

"Had one last night it’s like sticking a chocolate bar in a cup of hot milk! Very sweet but nice," added another.

However not everyone was sure. One said: "Not sure what my girl would think about drinking a melted unicorn."

Another added: "Don't know if my son would like this or if he would be scream that the dinosaur is melting."
