Home Bargains new £800k Liverpool store to open in former Toys R Us this weekend

Home Bargains will finally open its new store inside the former Toys R Us building this Saturday, November 23.

The store has been months in the making, with Home Bargains initially announcing its plans to take over the site one year ago.

Home Bargains has spent around £800,000 refurbishing the site, which became vacant after Toys R Us went into administration and closed all its UK stores.

The new store, based on Paisley Street opposite Costco, will open at 8am on Saturday having created up to 40 new jobs.

Inside, customers can expect the latest homeware ranges, health and beauty essentials as well as fresh and frozen foods.

Joe Morris, operations director at Home Bargains , said: “We’re thrilled to be launching another store in Liverpool and look forward to welcoming customers through the doors.

"The 25,000 sq. ft former Toys R Us store, adjacent to Costco, will offer shoppers a range of products, including homewares, health and beauty essentials, sweets, snacks and drinks, as well as fresh and frozen food.

“Paisley Street will be a great location for us and we’re proud to be able to offer local people top-branded goods at exceptionally low prices.”

The opening comes a couple of weeks after Home Bargains opened its £5m store in Speke.
