Home Bargains mocked online for going 'step too far' with new Christmas jumper

Discount retailer Home Bargains has been mocked on social media for launching its own Christmas jumper.

After years of selling festive sweaters from other brands, the retailer has finally launched its own range.

The jumpers cost £12 each, and come in the classic blue and red store colours, the MEN reports.

They feature the name Home Bargains on the front and the sleeves.

Home Bargains shared an image of them on Instagram, writing: "BRAND NEW. We have a brand new Home Bargains Christmas Jumper in stores, Sleigh, what?!

"We're OBSESSED and we think you will be too, get yours for just £12 in stores now!"

The company's post has already racked up thousands of likes and comments, but the jumpers have divided opinion.

"This is a joke, right?" asked one shopper.

"I love HB but this is a step too far," said a third critic.

However, others seemed desperate to get their hands on one of the £12 sweaters.

One shopper exclaimed: "We need these."

"Oh my gosh!!!!" said somebody else.

A third commented: "I know what I’m getting you for Christmas!"

"Need these in B&M design," added a fourth.

The Home Bargains Christmas jumpers are available to buy in stores now.
