Home Bargains makes name change joke but shoppers are here for it

Home Bargains has suggested a name change after shoppers expressed their love for one particular store section.

The budget retailer is hugely popular for everything from home accessories to bargain garden buys, toys, chocolate and more, but one of its food aisles has got people talking.

It seems the stores biscuit section is hugely favourable after one shopper pointed out the selection was "out of this world", with many others agreeing.

Home Bargains fan Dave Taylor wrote a message to fellow shoppers saying: "I don't know who needs to know this, but the biscuit aisle in Home Bargains is out of this world. So many biscuits."

And sharing a picture of the observation on its Instagram page, Home Bargains joked: "Just call us Home & Biscuits."

Despite the joke, many customers are here for the name change suggestion, which garnered nearly 4,000 likes on social media, reports Liverpool Echo.

"I totally agree," wrote one shopper, while another added: "Ha ha I love this."

And a third simply commented: "True story."

It's not the first time Home Bargains has teased a name change. Earlier this year the store baffled shoppers by announcing it was reverting back to Home and Bargain.

The store had been called this up until 1995 when it changes it's name, removing the 'and'.

However, it quickly became apparent the announcement was a joke for April Fools Day. You can read more on this here.
