A ring light has become one of the must-have products for social media users during lockdown.
The circle-shaped electric white light, which generally costs between £20 and £86, reduces shadows and offers a more uniform glow, making selfies and close-up videos pop.
It doesn’t change the contours of the face in a way that uneven lighting would, making it the perfect accessory for your live Zoom calls and meetings, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube.
And now one savvy shopper has spotted a ring light on sale in Home Bargains for just £8.99 and took to social media to share the find.
Writing in the popular Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group over the weekend, the happy shopper posted pictures of her purchase with the caption: “Been looking for a ting light with a tripod...but they’re all so expensive, found this beauty in Home Bargains for £8.99, it’s so bright too! BARGAIN in my eyes.”
The post has been an instant hit racking up 2,000 comments and over 1,600 likes.
Members of the group couldn’t believe the price with one replying: “That’s really good, I hope they have one when I go tomorrow.”
And another said: “Yassss I’ll pop down next week.”
The Equatech Ring Light is described as a “10-inch LED desktop light with phone holder” and offers three colour modes and comes with its own tripod stand.
