Home Bargains has issued an important update about its opening hours over the festive period.
The retailer has confirmed it will close all stores on Boxing Day and New Year's Day.
Home Bargains says it has made the decision in order to allow it’s staff and shelves the chance to recover from a busy festive season.

Taking to Instagram over the weekend, Home Bargains shared a photo which featured two elves holding a sign that said: “We’re closed Boxing Day & New Years Day. Our Elves (& shelves) need to recover!”
In the caption, Home Bargains wrote: “CHRISTMAS ANNOUNCEMENT. All of our stores will be closing for Boxing Day & New Years Day.
“If you're in desperate need of bargains make sure you don't miss out and pop into our stores a few days before - Love from team HB”.
Home Bargains will also close stores at the earlier time of 5pm on Christmas Eve.
A spokesperson for Home Bargains said: “We recognise how incredibly hard all of our colleagues have worked over the last year, to continue to serve the local communities that rely on them so much.
“In light of this, we felt it was only right to reward store teams by taking the decision to close all of our stores on Boxing Day and New Year’s Day, and also close stores early at 5pm on Christmas Eve, so that they can make the most of the festive break and enjoy as much time family, friends and loved ones.
“As a family-run business we know the importance of being together at Christmas with those we care about most, now more than ever, and this is our way of saying thank you to all of our colleagues for their continued hard work and dedication.”
Home Bargains stores typically shut around 8pm during the week and on Saturdays, while Sunday hours are usually until 4pm.
It isn't the first time Home Bargains has kept its doors shut on Boxing Day, having also given staff the day off in 2019 and 2020.
