Home Bargains has an 'identical twin' called Quality Save but you won't find it in Liverpool

Liverpool's very own Home Bargains has an identical twin and we couldn't quite believe it when we realised.

Being a Liverpool-based store many Home Bargains fans probably believe they know all there is to know about the retailer - but how's your knowledge on Quality Save?

Never heard of it? We hadn't either, that was until we spotted it in Walkden (pre lockdown, of course).

At a quick glance many shoppers may mistake 'Quality Save' stores for Home Bargains, due to the similar colourings, slogans and layouts.

Even from the outside Quality Save stores look the same as Home Bargains but in fact, they are two different companies.

Whilst Home Bargains is owned by TJ Morrisons and first opened back in 1976, Quality Save was founded earlier than Home Bargains in 1974 by Bob Rudkin.

The stores operate in Widnes and across Greater Manchester. In 2015 its biggest ever superstore was opened in Walkden - this means you won't find a Quality Save in Liverpool.

But Quality Save is in fact supplied by TJ Morris Ltd - the owners of Home Bargain - which is why it stocks the same products.
