Home Bargains causes upset as parents say shop has 'no common sense' for selling 'Lego' sweets

Home Bargains has found itself in the middle of a huge debate among parents with many slamming its packs of sweet which they claim look like Lego.

The sweets, which have no affiliation with Lego, have left some parents concerned that children may place plastic toys into their mouths believing they are sweets.

Packs of the sweet have been shared across Facebook groups by worried parents, reports MEN.

One Facebook user said: ""Wow sweets that look like Lego great idea may as well give them the Lego blocks. Some people just have no common sense."

Another added: "Yay great another thing my child will put in his mouth thinking its edible great idea. THANKS."

However on Twitter this morning some shoppers did defend Home Bargains. One user said: "1-It's not Home Bargains job to teach YOUR children what is edible and what is not.

"2-Children that are young enough to not know the difference between a gummy sweet and a plastic Lego piece aren't going into Home Bargains and buying them themselves. JUST DON'T BUY THEM FOR THEM."

A spokesperson for Home Bargains declined to comment when contacted by the MEN.

Amos Sweets has been approached for comment.
