Home Bargains announces expansion of Bridgend store and promises more jobs

Home Bargains has confirmed it is expanding one of its stores in Bridgend.

The discount retailer said it will be doubling the size of its outlet in Bridgend Retail Park, just off Bypass Road.

It will be moving into the vacant Pets at Home outlet - which shut earlier this year.

As well as promising increase choice for shoppers, officials say the move will also create more jobs.

A Home Bargains spokesman said: “We are looking to roughly double the size of our previous store and we will be introducing some new and exciting ranges, which will be confirmed nearer the time.

"With regards to opening, we estimate this will be between late September and early October, depending on the speed of the build.

"We will also be looking to recruit for additional roles from the local community, and we would encourage those interested to keep an eye on our careers website for these being advertised.”
