Home Bargains' £7.99 gin shoppers are rushing out to buy

Lockdown has meant many of us have enjoyed a drink at home instead of at our local pubs with the sale of alcohol soaring across stores since March.

Although pubs, bars and restaurants have now reopened, enjoying one or two in your own home is still preferred by some so it's not surprising to see how much excitement Home Bargains' latest release has caused.

The budget retailer took to its Facebook page to share its Watermelon Crush Gin Liqueur which it recently released across its stores priced at £7.99.

Home Bargains claims the drink will become your new "summer crush". And, among the comments, many were left by customers who were planning to pick up a bottle on their next visit or by those who were praising the product after already trying it.

And a fourth said: "I need some of this."

It's important to remember when visiting your local Home Bargains store social distancing and safety measures will be in place.
