Mayo are looking to end a 70-year drought on Saturday afternoon when they take on Tyrone in the All-Ireland final.
And the famed 'Mayo curse' wouldn't look out of place in the best soap opera.
After all, where else would you get a victorious team managing to accidentally interrupt a funeral cortege, be cursed by a priest, then lose the subsequent 12 All-Ireland finals they reach.
There's a massive following of the GAA in Australia thanks to the amount of Irish emigrants - and of course, Summer Bay is a hotspot for the sport.
Well, it is for Mayo at least.
Sarah McHugh, an Irish woman based in Oz, managed to grab a few of the stars of the soap, including the legendary Ray Meagher (Alf Stewart), Shane Withington (John Palmer) and Lynne McGranger (Irene Roberts) and get them to throw their support behind the Connacht champions!

Former Mayo legend Andy Dillon has said that Mayo will go in as favourites to end their drought.

Writing in his column for the Irish Mirror, he said: "A four-week break helps Mayo with some injuries that they have, while they will have also cleared a lot of the formalities that go with being in a final out of the way that bit sooner. It could be a bit of a logistical nightmare for Tyrone in that respect.
On the other hand, four weeks is a long run-in from a training point of view and a difficult one for a manager.
Tyrone just need to focus on recovery and sharpening their skills so soon after such a big game. The players won’t have time to pat themselves on the back for what they did against Kerry. Similarly, those that didn’t play so well have to get on with it; they can’t be moping.
