Home and Away stars James Stewart and Sarah Roberts astonished by 'heatwave' during Irish wedding

Home and Away stars James Stewart and Sarah Roberts have revealed they were amazed by the 25C heat on their wedding day in Ireland.

The soap stars tied the knot in a fairytale ceremony at Luttrellstown Castle in Dublin last week and made the most of the sunny weather.

The couple decided to get wed in Ireland as Sarah's brother Karl lives here and was unable to fly to Australia.

She told WHO:"My brother lives over here. He’s not able to fly at the moment because of health reasons. And my mum’s over here at the moment as well".

The couple knew they'd be getting married in July or December and eventually settled on a summer wedding.

And Sarah added that they were bemused by the Irish reaction to the hot weather.

She said: "When we decided to get married in Ireland, [we knew] we’ve got two production breaks at work. Either July or December.

"December is going to be really cold in Ireland, so we thought July would be perfect and actually it was!

"It was 25C the day we got married, which is really unusual for Ireland at this time. "They were all running around saying it was a heatwave!”

Reflecting on their big day, James added: "I'm in a daze, still. I'm on cloud nine".

James and Sarah have been dating for two years with James popping the question to Sarah last November and she had hinted during interviews that they may have a destination wedding.

Previously speaking to TV WEEK, Sarah admitted she was delighted with both the venue and her dress.

She said: "I'm going to feel like Cinderella on the day, but not necessarily because of the dress. It could be because of the venue."
