Home and Away star Ray Meagher rushed to hospital for emergency heart surgery

Home and Away legend Ray Meagher has been rushed to hospital for major heart surgery.

The 75-year-old, who plays Alf Stewart in the popular soap, has reportedly undergone a triple bypass surgery.

He is said to have had the diagnosis a week ago during a routine health check which revealed there was a serious blockage in his arteries.

The Melbourne Herald Sun said that Ray felt ‘very, very lucky’ and that he would be remaining at home in Sydney to recover.
