Holywood Bypass crash cleared with traffic back to normal

A two-vehicle crash that was causing delays in Co Down this afternoon has now been cleared.

Police attended the scene of the incident which occurred on the Holywood Bypass.

Drivers had been urged to seek alternative routes.

Trafficwatch NI said, in an update, that the collision has now been 'fully cleared and traffic is back to normal in the area'.

Earlier, at the time of the incident, a police spokesperson said: "Motorists are advised of tailbacks on the Holywood Bypass following a two-vehicle collision this afternoon."

Trafficwatch NI added: "RTC A2 Belfast Road at Holywood Station - both Bangor bound lanes obstructed PSNIArdsNDown directing traffic onto citybound lane to get past the incident - delays back to Palace Barracks (12:35)."
