Coatbridge & Chryston voters placed the SNP top of their regional list preferences, ahead of second-placed Labour and then the Conservatives.
The Scottish Greens polled 2125 votes on the peach ballot papers for the proportional representation Central list vote.
Figures were announced by North Lanarkshire's returning officer after the conclusion of the constituency count which saw Fulton MacGregor retain his seat for a second term.
Coatbridge & Chryston is one of nine constituencies - along with its four North Lanarkshire neighbours, two in Falkirk plus the South Lanarkshire seats of East Kilbride and Hamilton, Larkhall & Stonehouse - which make up Holyrood's Central region.
The list result is due to be declared on Saturday afternoon.
