Buckle the fuck up everyone, because Kanye West‘s Donda, which at this point was starting to feel like more of an urban myth than an actual real album, has finally dropped!!! Out of nowhere!!! 401 days after it was meant to be released!!!
And as if the surprise release (because who actually still held faith anymore?) isn’t already huge, Donda is almost TWO HOURS long. So at least we know Kanye really was working through all those chaotic delays.
The album comes after three listening parties, two in Atlanta and one in Chicago (with a cameo from Marilyn Manson?!), all of which had different music and were each meant to precede the album but never did. Until now.
But, it’s finally here, and people are losing their shit. Both with excitement, and also because some of the songs are, uhhh, interesting — the end of the 12th song on the album, ‘Remote Control’, samples the audio from ye old internet meme Globglogabgalab.
