INDIE band Holy Holy will perform their biggest show in Newcastle on November 19 when they play the Civic Theatre.
The show will be part of the duo's tour to promote their forthcoming fourth album, Hello My Beautiful World, due for release on August 20. Jezabels vocalist Hayley Mary will be the support.
On previous visits to Newcastle, since the release of their debut album When The Storms Would Come in 2015, Oscar Dawson (guitar) and Tim Carroll (vocals) have performed in front of packed Cambridge Hotel crowds.
The release of their albums Paint (2017) and My Own Pool Of Light (2019) and the success of singles True Lovers and Maybe You Know has seen Holy Holy's popularity rise exponentially.
Four singles have already been released from Hello My Beautiful World, suggesting a continuation of the band's growing reliance on synths, electronic beats and anthemic melodies.
The latest single The Aftergone, features a collaboration with Mollymook sisters Lily and Grace Richardson, better known as indie band Clews, and Kim Moyes of The Presets.
"We wanted to push this song into electronic territory, and he [Moyes] was the right person to go to for that," Dawson says. "Tim then wrote a pre-chorus melody and lyrics that we felt were perfect for Lily and Grace from Clews, a band - and people - we're super fond of."
