Holy Cross High's senior pupils say farewell to school at spectacular prom night

The senior pupils at Holy Cross High went out in style before the summer holidays.

First up was the annual leavers’ mass followed by a graduation ceremony.

A night of celebration and emotion featured a slide show of memories from their six years at the Hamilton school.

Friends and family joined them and shared in the memories.

The pupils then enjoyed their sixth year prom in the Bellshill Hilton, and what a night it proved to be.

As always, the young people were excellent ambassadors for the school and enjoyed the company of around 40 staff who had gone along to share their big night.

Holy Cross head teacher Carla Fagan said: “Arriving in style and dressed to impress, it certainly was a dazzling occasion at our S6 prom.

“School captains Laura Fitzpatrick and Mark Griffin delivered excellent speeches, which were followed by the famous prom awards, which were accepted with the usual grace, dignity and humour by all recipients.

“Following a lovely meal, everyone danced the night away, bringing six years at Holy Cross High School to a fantastic and emotional finale for the sixth-year students.

“Good luck to all members of the class of 2019!”
