Hollywood star makes Leeds United demand as transfer target chooses next club

Here's your Leeds United morning digest for Sunday, June 14.

Southampton contract decisions could reignite Adams chase

Could Leeds United reignite their interest in Che Adams?

The Whites have long been admirers of the 23-year-old but missed out last summer when the striker moved from Birmingham City to Southampton for £15m, and then saw multiple bids turned down for him in Janary.

Yet Adams has been unable to force his way into the Saints' regular starting XI, instead making do with sporadic appearances.

Ralph Hasenhuttl's 4-4-2 formation favours the predatory instinct of Danny Ings and the experience and industry of Shane Long.

The duo's chemistry up front has been a rare bright spot in what has been an underachieving campaign for Southampton.

Long's form was rewarded with a two-year contract extension this month, meaning he and Ings are set to remain the front two for the foreseeable future.

With big things expected from youngster Michael Obafemi, it creates questions over Adams' future at St Mary's.

Whites handed Tanguy boost

Leeds United have been handed an unexpected boost in the pursuit of Tanguy Kouassi.

The 17-year-old wonderkid is currently on the books of Paris Saint-Germain but is yet to sign a professional contract at the French giants due to his age.

He has been offered a three-year deal for when he turns 18, but reports say he is set to reject that deal.

French reports say Kouassi will turn down the deal as he has an offer of "a more stable environment elsewhere."

Vinnie Jones sends promotion message

Vinnie Jones has told Leeds United's squad to not let the club down in the hunt for promotion.

The Whites resume their bid for the top two next Sunday with a trip to Cardiff City, and Jones has urged the squad to keep up the push for promotion.

Jones also included a special mention of Norman Hunter.

In a video delivered by the LUFC Trust, Jones said: "This is a message to all the Leeds United fans.

"Please pay respect to all the players, the other fans, the NHS and especially our Norman.

"Don't let us down guys."
