Dwayne Johnson has reportedly lost around 60 pounds for his role in A24's new biopic, The Smashing Machine.
Johnson is portraying MMA fighter and UFC pioneer Mark Kerr in the film, which he is currently promoting at the Venice Film Festival.
Photographs of Johnson's noticeable weight loss have gone viral, leading fans to jokingly refer to him as 'The Pebble'.
The Smashing Machine is billed as Johnson's most dramatic project yet, focusing on Kerr's struggles with addiction and his career.
Directed by Benny Safdie, the film reflects Johnson's desire to take on more human-centred roles that explore struggle and pain, alongside his continued work in blockbuster productions.
