Hollywood star Lena Dunham has admitted she is Maura Higgins’ biggest fan.
The Longford model has had a rocky road since her bombshell beginning, but has quickly established herself as a fan favourite this week.
And it seems her one-liners and controversial comments have caught some mega stars’ attention worldwide,
The star and creator of hit TV show Girls, Lena Dunham took to Twitter to share her support for Maura after her spat with Tom Walker earlier in the week.
Sharing the hilarious fan art by Irish comedian Aisling Bea, the huge star revealed she relates to the hilarious 28-year-old – who became newly single in the villa Thursday’s dramatic episode saw her love interest Tom voted off by the other girls.
Taking to Twitter, she wrote: “For you folks in the UK who are binging on @LoveIsland like me, like Maura, I want a partner who can match me, not a coward who thinks I’m OTT, cringey and an attention seeker! ‘Team Maura! #loveisland (art by Aisling Bea).’
Dunham has fallen under the spell of Love Island while living in Wales.
The actress is there for the summer filming the drama Industry.
And she is in for a treat, as after she leaves the UK she can still tune in to some new Love Island madness when the US version kicks off next month.
