If you were sat in a local pub this week and thought that you saw Hollywood star Emilio Estevez then you were probably right.
The actor, famous for films such as The Breakfast Club, St. Elmo's Fire, Stakeout and Young Guns, has been in town to add his support for, a youth empowerment celebration that recognises and inspires the charity work and community involvement of young people, but he’s also taken the opportunity to enjoy some of the city’s delights.
On this, his first visit to Nottingham, Emilio says his favourite thing has been walking through the city’s streets and getting a feel for the area. He said: “It’s a lovely city - I just wish the weather had been a little better.”
So, has he been able to stay under the radar of eager Estevez fans? It seems not. When we asked him if anyone had recognised him, he said: “Yeah sure, I’ve been walking around the streets a little bit.”
"There were a couple of folks in a pub the other night that sat down with me and they said ‘Oh god, forgive me for going mental...'"
And while he couldn’t remember the names of some of the places he’d visited he could recall a stand-out meal.
"The steak and ale pie at the Trip to Jerusalem - that was amazing.”
Landlord Karl Gibson told NottinghamshireLive: "He was lovely and very genuine. He sat in the alcove that was the old chimney."
Estevez is the latest in a string of celebrities to visit the historic boozer.
"We have had The Killers, Sir Ian Mckellen, Tony Hadley, WWE superstars and many more over the years," added Karl who has been the Trip's landlord for six years.
