Hollyoaks star Steph Waring has shared a snap of her engagement ring after boyfriend Tom Brookes popped the question on the couple's first anniversary together.
The 43-year-old soap actress shared her happy news, along with a pic of her sparkling ring, in an Instagram post as she declared that "he's the one" after the proposal.
A year on from the start of their relationship, Steph wrote on the social media site: "And on the 365th day he asked me to be his wife.
"He’s the one."
Steph is then pictured flashing the ring as she held her new fiance's face for a passionate kiss, while Tom shared a pic of Steph, describing her as his "best friend".
The actress, who has played Cindy Cunningham in the Channel 4 soap since 1996, shared with the world that she was in a relationship with Tom when they went Instagram official in March.
It would seem that at least one of her Hollyoaks co-stars knew about the impending engagement, with Ross Adams commenting: "The HARDEST secret to keep. I’m so glad I can now speak to you everyday. Congratulations to you both. Now let’s get planning that hen. Xxxx."
Fellow soap star and Loose Women panellist, Denise Welch, added: "Congratulations both of you."
Steph shares daughter Lexi, 11, with personal trainer Dan Hooper, who she dated from 2008 to 2014, before having a relationship with Riad Erraji after the split from Dan but that was all over before the end of 2015.
The engagement news comes just months after Hollyoaks co-star Jorgie Porter announced that she had said yes to Ollie Piotrowski after he proposed.
