Hollyoaks star Annie Wallace has teased what the future holds for Sally St Claire, following the reveal that she killed PC George Kiss.
The character confessed to her son John Paul McQueen during Wednesday's E4 episode, as the truth became too much to hide any longer.
A flashback scene teased Theresa McQueen had committed the crime, before it was revealed it was actually Sally.
It was in self-defence to be fair, as violent George was about to attack Theresa moments after it was confirmed he had been abusing boyfriend John Paul.
Now, speaking exclusively to The Mirror, Sally actress Annie has revealed her character could be facing a long stint in prison for murder.

If this is the case, viewers could be waving goodbye to beloved Sally with her "determined" to face the music for her crime.
She explained of the risk of Sally leaving the soap: "She's facing life in prison, and that's very shocking to her but at the same time she has resigned to herself that it's a terrible thing she did.
"She is a law-abiding person and does believe in the law. It took her a while to come round to it but now she's determined to face the music, and protect her family because if she doesn't come forward, other people in her family are going to suffer.

"She can't have that so yeah, who knows what is gonna happen and how long she is gonna be there. It's not looking good for our Sally is it!"
On what is to come in the fallout, she teased the plot would take a new turn.
Annie explained: "I think fans can expect this to run for quite a while, because I think we are now gonna see things from Sally's point of view.

"What made her do it, the consequences and is this going to affect her personality and outlook on life, cos she's taken someone's life and it's a terrible thing.
"I think the focus is gonna shift to Sally in terms of the consequences of her actions."
Annie also revealed whether her onscreen son John Paul could forgive her over his boyfriend's murder, given he was a prime suspect and she said nothing.
She told us: "If I was John Paul I'd be quite annoyed about it. He has been in prison for a few weeks and Sally said nothing. Having said that, Sally and John Paul are very protective of each other, there is a parent and child bond there and they would do anything to protect each other.
"I'm sure he's not gonna be happy, but at the same time Sally was pushed into it because of the circumstances because she was trying to defend herself."
Hollyoaks airs weeknights at 6:30pm on Channel 4, with the next episode at 7pm on E4.
