Hollyoaks star Stephanie Waring has been flooded with congratulations after announcing her romantic engagement.
The soap star from Urmston shared the happy news on her Instagram with a photo of herself smooching her new fiance Tom Brookes who she met on Facebook.
And the bride-to-be showed off her sparkler of an engagement ring.

Stephanie, who plays firecracker Cindy Cunningham in the Channel Four soap, revealed that Tom popped the question on a very special date.
"And on the 365th day he asked me to be his wife," she wrote.
And she added: "He’s the one."
Co-stars rushed to send their best wishes.

After dating for six months Stephanie, 43, shared: "Wow, I can’t believe I have made it to 6 months in a relationship!!!"
Reflecting on how they met she wrote: "And @tomtbrookes since you slid into my dm’s on Facebook (true story) Ok ok, I sent you a friend request first but the rest was all you.
"And since our first date where we literally did not stop talking for hours.
"You have never once failed to make me feel so unbelievably loved by another person.
"You make me cry with laughter mainly at your expense and more often than not at the most inappropriate times.
"I’ve called you a d*** more than I have your own name and I love that we share a humour and honesty.
"I’ve never been happier than I am when I’m with you. Happy 6 months but feels like 6 year’s anniversary!!!"
And Steph, who has two daughters Mia and Lexi Grace, added jokingly: "If this post is deleted in the next 6 months then it didn’t work out, love is bull*** and I will finish my book Relationships and how to Ruin them!"
