"Birthday celebrations begin this evening (2 weeks early) starting with a new do," she wrote.
"Gorgeous," said former Coronation Street star Catherine Tyldesley.
And her friends at Hollyoaks rushed to tell her how much they love her new do.
Stephanie Waring, who plays Cindy Cunningham in the soap, shared heart and raising hands in celebration emojis.
And Lucy-Jo Hudson who plays Donna-Marie Quinn commented: "Wow."
"Oh my goodness this suits you so much!!" gasped another follower.
"I love your hair that length. So classy," said another.
"Love the new hair," said a third.
"WOW looks amazing!!!" another told her.
And another praised: "BOOOOOOOM! Love it. Suits you very very much xx"
The mother-of-one has played Mandy since 1996.
She has been involved in powerful stories including the death of her daughter Grace, with her ex husband Tony Hutchinson, from sudden infant death syndrome.

Another ex husband Luke Morgan battled alcoholism and she recently fought to get her daughter Ella out of prison following her involvement in Jordan Price’s murder after he was stabbed on New Year’s Eve.
Ella was allowed to return home, after being given a youth rehabilitation order.
Sarah is asked by fans how she stays youthful at almost 40.
"Truth is if I knew that I’d be a very rich lady (and unfortunately I am not)" she wrote frankly to her Insta followers.
"And most of the time, especially first thing in the morning, I don’t think I look youthful at all."
Lifting the lid on her habits she said she weight trains three times a week, and tries to be consistent in her training and healthy eating habits most of the time.
"However I’m only human and do love a few glasses of red or a bar of Lindt (salted dark is my fave) but if i’m mindful of what i’m doing most of the time then I can afford the treats when I want them," she said.
And taking walks rain or shine are also part of her lifestyle.
"Getting out in the fresh air, as much as possible, regardless of the weather, even if it’s raining cats and dogs, you will always feel better for moving your body and spending some time in nature," she said.
And she added that she also takes time out for 'self care.'
She said: "I don’t do this as much as I’d like to but I try to make a conscious effort to do at least one thing everyday or at least every couple of days-read a bit of my book, meditate, listen to music, get my nails done, have a bath."
