Hollyoaks is bringing back Nicole Owen almost 13 years after she originally left the village.
Ciara Janson is reprising her role as Nicole having first appeared on the soap in 2004 before departing in 2006 - with a brief return for a few episodes in 2007.
The 31-year-old actress, who looks almost unrecognisable from her previous Hollyoaks stint, was involved in iconic rape, kidnap and death storylines.
Ciara said: "It’s such a pleasure to be reunited with some wonderful familiar faces, and to be introduced to those who I haven’t met before. It’s like coming back home."
Nicole is coming back to the village to support her nephew Max when he reaches out for help.

Nicole first burst onto screens in 2004 when she arrived with mum Carrie and brothers Russ and Sam.
The teenager was involved in a love triangle involving Justin Burton and his stepbrother Ali Taylor.
Her biggest storyline involved serial rapist Andy Holt, who tricked her into coming away with him and forced her to drink date rape drug GHB.
Unconscious Nicole was tied up and gagged in a warehouse before being rescued by Mel Burton.
She was then held hostage by her own brother, Sam, after escaping from prison.
Nicole survived but Sam killed several people before he himself died.
When her friends starting to turn against her because of Sam's crimes, Nicole and her parents left the village for good.
Nicole briefly returned in 2007 to beg brother Russ not to marry Mercedes.
Since leaving Hollyoaks, Ciara has appeared in the West End and as a voice-over artist.
The actress has appeared in Doctors and Holy City.
