Hollyoaks star promises 'tense' 2021 for Celeste and 'unpredictable' Toby

Hollyoaks will air "tense" and "conflicting" scenes at the start of the New Year, for siblings Toby and Celeste Faroe.

Just weeks ago they forced their triplet Mitchell Deveraux to flee the village, trying to set him up for the murder of their cousin Lisa Loveday.

It was in fact Toby who committed the killing, with Celeste choosing to protect Toby over her brother Mitchell.

She's stood by him every time he's done something wrong, hiding his secrets from the family they only reunited with last year.

But there's trouble ahead, as Celeste confides in their father Felix about the dark side to his son Toby.

Speaking exclusively to Mirror online, actress Andrea Ali promised more to come for the siblings in 2021.

Not only that, but she teased "unpredictable" Toby's rage could return, while Celeste will question her loyalties.

She confirmed: "2021 is going to be even more tense and conflicting for Celeste.

"She’s usually first in line to jump to her brother's defense, but we’ll see if she can keep all these secrets and keep him under control for much longer. Will her loyalties continue to lie with Toby?"

Andrea went on: "Toby is the most unpredictable of the Deverauxs so I think there’s more rage in him for someone close to home!"

But could that mean danger for their mother Martine, or perhaps Felix once he knows the truth?

On why she tells Felix the truth, Andrea told us: "I think Celeste sees a lot of herself in Felix and has chosen to confide in him following their growing relationship.

"She fears losing the family she’s longed for, and is hoping Felix can finally give her the help she needs with Toby when he goes too far!

"The question is, will they be able to control him or will they need to call for extra help?"

Hollyoaks airs weeknights at 6:30pm on Channel 4, with the next episode at 7pm on E4.
