Hollyoaks star Jorgie Porter welcomes baby boy and shares newborn's sweet name

Hollyoaks star Jorgie Porter and fiancé Ollie Piotrowski have welcomed a baby boy. The 34-year-old actress, who plays Theresa McQueen in the Channel 4 soap-opera, took to Instagram to announce the news on Wednesday, November 30.

Jorgie, who revealed that she was pregnant in June, shared an image of the couple walking out of the hospital with their newborn son. She wrote: "Welcome to the family… Our baby boy ... Forest."

The couple's pregnancy announcement came months after Jorgie had revealed that she had miscarried quadruplets at 14 weeks. For more showbiz and television stories get our newsletter here.

Following the birth of baby Forest, Jorgie was flooded with congratulatory comments. Welsh actress Emily Burnett, who plays Olivia Bradshaw in Hollyoaks exclaimed: "Ahhhhhhh Forest!!! Perfect. Congratulations you Wonder Woman!" Kelly Condron who plays Zara Morgan in Hollyoaks said: "Congratulations enjoy the baby snuggles." Sarah Jayne Dunn who played Mandy Richardson cheered: "Yay!!!! Well done hunny and congratulations." Jessica Fox who plays Nancy Osborne said: "Massive congratulations to all of you and welcome to the world Forest! You are SO loved!"

Jorgie has regularly updated her 729K Instagram followers during the pregnancy. In October, during an appearance on Loose Women, Jorgie and Ollie revealed that they’re taking each day as it comes after their miscarriage heartbreak. Speaking to hosts Ruth Langsford, Coleen Nolan, Janet Street Porter and Dame Kelly Holmes, Coleen asked how the pregnancy had been so far, and Jorgie explained: “In the beginning it was quite hard. It was a bit stressful, a bit worrying.

"But we kind of had to get over that bit and go 'do you know what? We need to enjoy this and start thinking about everything day by day. We’ve got to enjoy the journey.'”
