Daisy Wood-Davis and Luke Jerdy have excitedly revealed that they're expecting their first child together.
Daisy, who starred as Kim Butterfield on the long-running soap between 2014-2018, shared a sweet announcement pic to her Instagram on Wednesday.
The star revealed she is 19 weeks pregnant meaning the pair are expecting their baby to arrive in October.
Daisy wrote in the emotional post: "We have been keeping the biggest (smallest) secret of our lives!
"We couldn’t let Covid get in the way of any more of our plans so instead of saying ‘I do’ this year, we’ve been growing and preparing for our precious baby son or daughter (still can’t believe those words are coming out of my mouth!)"
She continued: "Cannot wait to tell you all more about our journey so far #19weekspregnant #nearlyhalfwaythere #dueoct2021"
In his own post alongside a similar smiley photo of the pair, Luke - who played Jesse Donovan from 2016 to 2020 - simply put: "Just call us Mum and Dad.”
Friends, family and co-stars were quick to congratulate the pair.
Mandip Gill, who played Phoebe McQueen on the soap, said: "Oh my gawddddd. Congratulations to you both !!! This is just beautiful. I’m so happy for you."
Anna Shaffer, who starred as Ruby Button, also commented: "So chuffed for you both, Daisy! You look beautiful - lucky bub indeed xxx"
Daisy and Luke first met each other on the set of the Chester-based soap.
They were both tasked with a string of hard-hitting storylines.
Daisy's time on Hollyoaks came to an end when she went on the run following the death of Glenn Donovan.
Her character had previously been locked the derelict Hollyoaks High building for several months. She only had tins of beans to eat and a poster of Rick Astley to talk to.
Luke also had a dramatic end to his time on the soap. His character was killed off in 2020 hours after he married Courtney.
His character was seen to collapse after drinking too much and his body wasn't found until hours later.
After becoming an official couple outside of their working environment, Luke popped the all-important question to Daisy during a trip to Greece in 2019.
