Hollyoaks' Kieron Richardson teases 'huge' twist as drug groom plot ramps up

Kieron Richardson has teased what's to come in Hollyoaks - as the hard-hitting County Lines plotline comes to a crescendo.

The story sees youngsters in the village groomed by evil drug lord Victor (Benjamin O'Mahoney), with Kieron's Ste Hay joining forces with Sid (William Price) and James (Gregory Finnegan) to bring him down once and for all.

It's one in a series of heavy storylines for actor Kieron, who was also targeted by far-right thugs in a failed attempt at recruitment.

Last year saw Victor and his cronies start using teens like Juliet to circulate their drugs around Hollyoaks.

The plot has already seen Juliet and Charlie put behind bars, while Jordan was killed in scenes that shocked viewers.

Sid has now vowed to bring down Victor, recruiting Ste and and James to the fight.

And Kieron's told The Mirror that the drama is far from over.

"At the end of this week, something huge is going to happen," he told us during a Jess Saying Facebook Live, "Will the audience be cheering or crying?

"You've literally got a few hours to wait."

Kieron made his return to the soap last year having left after Ste fell in with a group of racist thugs targeting a Muslim family, the Maaliks.

Ste eventually realises the error of his ways and recognises he's been groomed by the racists - but struggled to break free from them.

He did manage to flee them in tense scenes, but had to make his exit from the village.

Since he made his return, the Maaliks were shocked to see him back.

"The imminent return is basically just about him saying how sorry he is, and that he didn’t mean everything that he did," Kieron told us last year.

"Then after that it's catching up on the stories that he's missed, and finding out who Jordan is and what Sid's been up to.

"Sid was a big part of Ste's escape from the far-right, so he owes it to Sid. Sid’s in quite a lot of trouble at the minute, so is Ste going to be there to help him?"

How will Ste fare against wicked Victor?

*Hollyoaks airs this evening on Channel 4 at 6:30pm, with the following episode showing on E4 at 7pm.
