Hollyoaks' Jorgie Porter says 'it goes so fast' as she shares 'traumatic' experience as new mum

Jorgie Porter has been chatting with her fans and followers as she continues to navigate her new life as a mum to her baby son. The Hollyoaks star gave birth to her first child back in November.

She and her fiancé Ollie Piotrowski announced they were expecting their first child together in June last year in an adorable video on Instagram. And the joyous announcement came just months after Jorgie tragically suffered a miscarriage with quadruplets at 14 weeks.

Jorgie, from Eccles, announced their son's arrival on Instagram with a sweet image of the new parents smiling as Ollie carried their son with the words: "Welcome to the family… Our baby boy..." And she has since been keeping her fans and followers updated with the highs and low of being a new mum to her son, Forest.

On Monday (February 6), Jorgie wanted to have a little catch-up with her followers as she asked: "How are you all?" with a question and answer box. One of Jorgie's followers shared how they were currently 35 weeks pregnant and added: "Thank you for normalising breastfeeding."

Jorgie, who is known for playing Theresa McQueen in the Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks, posted a stunning photo of herself from when she was pregnant. She could be seen posing in her mirror as she donned matching black underwear with her baby bump on display.

"Aww congratulations! Feel like this was 2 seconds ago," the 35-year-old penned in response. "It goes so fast once they are here." Jorgie was then asked by a fellow mum 'how she was doing with her little one' after they has to take their son for his jabs.

Jorgie replied with a picture of her and Forest looking at the camera and wrote: "Cuddles and calpol! We needed all the cuddles after his jabs the other day." The new mum then added: "Think we were more traumatised than him."

It comes after Jorgie celebrated 'the little wins' in an honest Instagram post. The soap star could be seen posing a store mirror before also sharing a selfie with Forest sleeping in his pram in the background. "I survived a solo shopping trip with Forest by myself!!!" she cheered.

"I think I need to start celebrating the little wins, so felt this moment needed a place on the grid. It may not sound a lot to most (although mums I’m sure you get me) but seriously leaving the house is a military operation. It’s like you’re leaving to go on holiday for 2 weeks or is that just me.

"Change bag, nappies, wipes, cream, change of clothes, more nappies more wipes… you get the jist. This time we had no poonamis, he fell asleep and I managed to shop at a normal pace rather than rush rush rush… I even managed a coffee."

She then jokingly ended her post: "Rewarding myself by staying in the house for the foreseeable." Hollyoaks co-star Chelcee Healey, who plays Goldie McQueen, may not have filled her pal with hope as she replied: "A full days work before you even stepped out the house…. 5 years on it is still the same."

While Mercedes McQueen actress Jennifer Metcalfe told Jorgie: "Winning babe." Fans were also showing their support while also preparing her for the future with her little boy.

@19laura81 said: "Celebrating the small wins is the only way to rock being a mamma. Other wise you’d drive yourself mad!! Congrats on an outing let alone a solo one." @nikitajodie commented: "Make the most of it!! Once they turn 2 you won't ever want to go shopping again." @stephykinsa added: "Winning at life when you can do that! I have two little ones and I'm so pleased with myself when I accomplish the same."
