Hollyoaks' star Jeremy Edwards had dropped a soap bombshell as he reveals his character Kurt Benson will return to screens - despite his death 20 years ago.
Fan favourite Jeremy has unveiled plans for his bad boy character to return to the show for its 25th anniversary.
Hollyoaks fanatics won’t forget the moment Kurt Benson died in a tragic jet-ski accident in 1999.
But in a stunning turn of events, actor Jeremy has revealed his character’s on-screen death was not all it seemed.
In an interview with the Sun, Jeremy dropped the bombshell: “He didn’t die.”
Unveiling the stunning new storyline, the actor confessed Kurt had been “on the run for a long time” and has decided to call it quits and come home.
Kurt is back for the long-haul, and to see his old pal Tony, played by Nick Pickard, Jeremy revealed.
“He comes back to see Tony, to be home. Put it like this: he’s not disappearing.
“We’re just tackling this storyline of Kurt and Tony reuniting, and trying to help each other. But going forward, there’s so much room.
“Read between the lines — I look forward to working with other characters.”
Jeremy starred on the soap for four years, after initially only being drafted in for six months.
He’ll return next Monday after his 21 year hiatus, much to the delight of fans who swooned over the hunky star when he first appeared on screens as a “young hot guy”.
Jeremy said his first casting on the show “changed the face of other soaps,” with the BBC’s EastEnders “bringing in a young hot guy and Coronation Street brought in Adam Rickitt”.
Fans can catch Jeremy reprising his role as Kurt next week as he’s set to ride back into Hollyoaks on his signature motorbike.
