Hollyoaks viewers were stunned to learn who really stabbed Jordan Price (Connor Calland) in Monday night's preview episode.
After a scuffle with Charlie Dean (Charlie Behan) and Ella Richardson, at the Hutch, Jordan was confirmed as the body bag victim from the 2019 flash forward.
Charlie is taking the rap for the murder, but in a shocking flashback on Tuesday's preview episode, it was revealed that Ella (Erin Palmer) dealt the killer blow.
One viewer tweeted: "Not ella, she can't let Charlie take the blame! #Hollyoaks ".
"THAT ENDING THO WHAT A TWIST," exclaimed another.
A third added: "Omfg!!!!! It was Ella!!!!! She killed him".
"Ella killed Jordan. Charlie covered for her aww #Hollyoaks," remarked a fourth.
A fifth predicted: "Holy sh... IT WAS ELLA!!! Poor Charlie took the fall for her. I hope he at least says it was in self-defense so he gets a lesser sentence".
Jordan had just refused orders from the Victor brothers to murder his cousin Sid Sumner and Juliet Nightingale, and he begged Sid and Juliet to leave and make better of themselves.
But Charlie and Ella still thought he was dangerous, and when he found them hiding in the empty restaurant, a fight broke out when the teens told him they quit the gang.
Jordan ended up stabbed, though viewers did not see the moment it happened, and he was dead before the ambulance arrived.
Charlie and Ella were standing over his body, looking stunned.
Charlie later admitted to the police it was him who stabbed Jordan, to protect Ella.
