Hollyoaks couple Amanda Clapham and Alfie Browne-Sykes 'secretly split' after six years

Real-life Hollyoaks couple Amanda Clapham and Alfie Browne-Sykes are reported to have secretly ended their six-year romance months ago.

The former lovebirds, who met on the Channel 4 soap while playing Holly Cunningham and Jason Roscoe, are said to have broken things off in October last year.

According to The Sun, 25-year-old Alfie has moved out of the home they shared in Liverpool, taking their French bulldog Frankie with them.

Amanda's agent confirmed the split to the publication.

And a source said: "The relationship just ran its course - they didn't want to make a big fuss or announce it publicly."

Amanda, 29, appeared in Hollyoaks on and off for years.

She first joined the cast in 1997 and her final scenes aired in January, last year.

Alfie left the soap in 2016 alongside his on-screen brother Robbie, in a bid to save their relationship.

Amanda and Alfie's characters dated as teenagers, before Holly also embarked on a romance with Robbie.

Holly and Jason got married, but things ended very badly when it all came out about the affair at the wedding.

During the lockdown, Amanda has been sharing her workouts with her Instagram followers, admitting she's a "weekend worker outer" as she only exercises on Saturdays.

She's also been keeping her fans entertained with Hollyoaks throwback snaps, as well as old pictures from her own life.

Meanwhile, Alfie has been delighting his followers by dressing up as Tiger King's Joe Exotic, and posting sweet snaps of himself cuddled up with his dog.

He too has been sharing throwback snaps from his days in Hollyoaks.

Mirror Online has contacted Amanda and Alfie's representatives for comment.
