Hollyoaks confirmed who shot Mercedes McQueen in an epic twist on Tuesday night, with the E4 episode finally seeing the culprit named to viewers.
Mercedes was shot and left for dead in scenes last month, with a number of suspects in the frame.
But it turns out there was more than one culprit, as two characters fired the gun at the same time.
They don't even regret their actions, reminding each other what they did all those weeks ago.
James Nightingale and Grace Black were the shooters, with the pair not yet detected.
In the latest episode, James told Grace he knew what she'd done.
But she was quick to point out she too knew his own secret, with flashbacks then confirming the truth.
Revealing what really happened that night, Grace was shown heading to the club where Mercedes was drinking alone.
But she wasn't the only one on route, with James following Grace into the pub.
She then pulled out the gun aiming it at Mercedes who was dancing at the back of the room.
James appeared beside her, leaning in and placing his hands over Grace's on the gun.
Suddenly they both pulled the trigger, and a new criminal double act was born.
Prior to this, Grace had fired a shot but missed, only for James to help her out.
Back in present tense, James and Grace raised their glasses and laughed over what they had done.
Unfortunately for them, Grace's brother and James' new flame Liam Donovan heard their chat - with him also a suspect after his affair with Mercedes.
Will he spill the beans, or even want revenge?
