Hollyoaks and Corrie stars among celebs at opening of Manchester's new VR attraction

A new virtual reality attraction has just hit Manchester and it has TV stars flocking to it to test it out. DNA VR opened its doors earlier this week and is their first venue outside of London.

Attendees for the grand opening included soap stars such as Hollyoaks’ Nicole Barber-Lane, aka Myra McQueen, along with Hollie-Jay Bowes, Anya Lawrence, Annie Wallace, Izzie Yip, Dawn Hope and Ashling O’Shea. Waterloo Road and Coronation Street’s Rachel Leskovac also went along for the big day.

Waterloo Road and Coronation Street’s Rachel Leskovac also went along for the big day, as well as Hits Radio’s Jordan Lee and Manchester City players Kerstin Casparij and Mary Fowler, Lioness Esme Morgan, TikTok stars Hannah Bailey and Fats and actor Andy Ellis.

DNA VR’s Manchester venue, which is now open for bookings, offers various exciting virtual experiences from surviving a zombie apocalypse, to travelling to the pyramids in Egypt or fighting off dragons.

The Manchester venue has the capacity to host up to 16 virtual sessions (19 people) at one time to provide an unparalleled immersive experience for gamers.

The venue is conveniently located in Manchester city centre, only a 15-minute walk away from Piccadilly Station.

Offering true escapism, visitors can experience both solo and group virtual reality modes on 70 games providing hours of gameplay in an unrivalled entertainment experience.

The experience is suitable for family day trips, evenings out with friends, corporate parties, and even date nights.

The chain boasts famous visits from celebrities such as Olivia and Alex Bowen, Idris Elba, KSI and Hollywood royalty, Chris Hemsworth and his kids.
