Hollyoaks viewers were left emotional on Monday night, as a soap favourite left the Channel 4 show in the latest episode.
Sami Maalik, played by actor Rishi Nair, bowed out of the village in sad scenes four years after his arrival.
He made the decision to leave the village and his family behind for a new start, after a final showdown with evil Ali Shahzad.
Sami issued a horrifying threat to the rapist outside of the police station, following Sami's younger brother Imran taking the character hostage.
Viewers recently learned that Ali had raped Imran's mother Misbah years earlier when she was a medical student.

Ali's recent arrival in the village led to her telling her family the truth, and they tried to bring Ali to justice.
But things took a turn when Imran took him hostage in the hope of getting a confession out of him.
When Ali and Sami headed to the police station in the fallout, Sami threatened him in dark scenes with consequences if he ever told the police what Imran did.

Ali called his bluff, as Sami said if he reported Imran he would have him murdered and make it look like he had taken his own life.
Sami recounted the lengths he had gone to in the past to get his own way, leaving Ali spooked and realising he wasn't lying.
The moment led to Ali agreeing not to report Imran, but it also led to Sami's decision to leave the village.
Sami packed his things together and said an emotional goodbye to his family, as well as some of those who knew him best in the village.
Actor Rishi teased the door had been left open for a future return, as fans took to Twitter to share their sadness that he was leaving.
One fan wrote: "Goodbye Sami you will be missed."

Another said: "Sami Maalik you were such a beautiful character I’m going to miss you so much."
A third commented: "Oh my days these Sami leaving a scenes are really making me tear up."
Meanwhile a fourth fan said: "Sami leaving is actually devastating I love him so much."
Hollyoaks airs weeknights at 6:30pm on Channel 4, with the next episode on at 7pm on E4.
