Hollyoaks actor teases 'mayhem' as newcomer Brad King sparks love triangle

Hollyoaks actor Tom Benedict Knight has teased "mayhem" as his "narcissistic" character Brad King heads to the village.

The newcomer will make a move on Maxine Minniver, with her completely unaware that he is the toyboy of her mother Trish.

When Trish eventually arrives in the village, chaos will occur as the character sparks a love triangle.

Speaking exclusively to The Mirror, soap actor Tom promised drama in store as his character begins scheming from day one.

He told us: "Brad isn't trouble, he's mayhem. It seems like every word he says, every move he makes is part of some Machiavellian scheme to reach his goal, whatever that might be in both his business dealings or personal life.

"His need to get immediately involved with Trish's daughter at that moment, largely just because she is Trish's daughter speaks volumes about who and what he is.

"I think there is only one woman who stands a chance of keeping him under manners - Trish."

On what viewers can expect from the new baddie, he went on: "It's been an absolute blast on and offset, my co-stars are amazing to work with and Brad well, he is an actor's dream.

He also discussed working with fellow newbie Denise Welch, and Maxine actress Nikki Sanderson.

Tom said: "Both Nikki and Denise have superb acting craft and here's a really great dynamic amongst us that makes the work feel effortless and I am enjoying it immensely.

"To add to that we all hit it off immediately from day one and are laughing all the time which is awesome."
