Hollyoaks actor Kieron Richardson teases soap's 'biggest stunt ever' ahead of episodes

Hollyoaks star Kieron Richardson, who plays Ste Hay on the Channel 4 soap, has teased this year’s big stunt with just two months to go.

Every October, the soap airs dramatic scenes in the village, often leading to a shock death or two.

Last year the soap upped its game with a tornado heading to Chester, claiming the life of Tegan Lomax while several others were injured.

In the past the soap has featured bus crashes, train crashes, school explosions, fairground disasters and, possibly the start of the big stunts, the fire at the pub.

This year details are being kept under wraps, with Kieron himself not knowing too much detail.

It’s been revealed that Jake Quickenden will take on the role of builder Woody for new scenes, with him somehow involved.

Darren Osborne, Mandy Richardson and Tony Hutchinson are all thought to be involved too, while the rest of the cast taking part is yet to be confirmed.

Now, Kieron has teased what viewers can expect while also hinting at the soap’s big 25th anniversary coming up next year.

He said: “Jake Quickenden is involved! It’s always amazing and the director doing it this year did our iconic bus crash years ago.

“They bring in the special effects team and Bryan Kirkwood said it’s gonna be our biggest, best ever.”

On next year’s huge anniversary, he added: “We’re going into our 25th anniversary so I expect it’s gonna be shocking.”

It comes after the news that Ste’s radicalisation storyline is set to take a huge turn in September, leading to dramatic scenes.

Kieron teased it would see his character go in a new direction in the fallout, but can he escape the far-right group?

Hollyoaks airs weeknights at 6:30pm on Channel 4, with an extra episode at 7pm on E4.
