Holly Willoughby touched by London Underground birthday tribute as celebrations continue

Holly Willougby 's birthday tributes keep pouring in.

This Morning presenter Holly celebrated turning 40 today as celebrities and fans alike showered the TV star with birthday messages and posts all day.

And Holly even had a poem written all about her by the workers of London Underground, who wrote the sweet birthday tribute on a white board for all to see.

"Happy 40th birthday Holly Willoughby," the lengthy message reads.

"May your dreams and wishes come true, you are one of Brighton;s very finest and the queen of daytime TV, nobody can brighten up This Morning or any other quite like you."

The message continued: "You're a legend of a presenter with the Xtra Factor, who can be fantastically naughty and nice, for over twenty years you have graced the nation's TV screens; a model and b author who will play to the whistle in any Saturday showdown and looks wise you can still pass for someone who has just left their teens."

The sweet birthday tribute cleverly mentions many of the shows Holly has presented in her career so far.

"Even though your birthday will be different due to social distancing, you can still have a cheeky Celebrity Juice or two and indulge in some living room karaoke like you're performing on The Voice UK," the message goes on.

"There's no need to text santa for a surprise surprise, today you can turn your house into an organised ministry of mayhem and boogie in the kitchen like you're Dancing On Ice.

"When these rough times are history you can book a summer holiday and have a jolly Hollyday. Love from @allontheboard."

Earlier today, Holly was in floods of tears on Wednesday morning as she arrived at the ITV studios for work.

As part of her birthday celebrations, her co-host Phillip Schofield had arranged for the staff to line the corridors with balloons and clap her in.

As Holly appeared in the doorway, she was seen visibly gasping as everyone applauded her and Stevie Wonder's 'Happy Birthday' played loudly in the background.

Phillip, 58, documented the epic surprise on his Instagram Story - sharing the special moment with his 3.1 million followers.

"The birthday girl is about to arrive, everything is ready. She doesn't know about this," he said. "She's about to walk through that door."

Phillip and the This Morning crew then proceeded to sing 'Happy Birthday' to the mum-of-three as she welled up and said: "I'm just going to go in here and cry. I'm going to spend all day in tears aren't I?"
