Holly Willoughby 'to co-host new Olympics-themed TV show with Freddy Flintoff'

Holly Willoughby is reportedly set to co-host a new Olympics-themed TV show with former England cricketer Freddie Flintoff.

The Dancing On Ice host, 39, is lined up be paired with the Top Gear star, 42, for The Real 2020 Games.

Dye to air in the aftermath of the Tokyo Games this summer, the new series will see celebrities try out a variety of Olympic events.

A source told The Sun : "Freddie’s a fantastic presenter and bosses thought he would be the perfect fit working with Holly."

They said that the pair know each other and already bounce on one another and that Freddie’s "cheeky personality is the perfect match for Holly and bosses think they are going to prove a ratings hit".

Names of those taking part in the show are still being finalised and filming will take place later this year.

An inside said: "There is a real buzz around it and everyone is hoping it looks as good on screen as it does on paper. A number of big-name stars are being signed up to take part.

"They’ll be split into teams and trained to compete in certain sports, like shot put and synchronised swimming."

The show will be similar in format to Channel 4's The Games, which ran from 2003 until 2006.

It was presented by Jamie Theakston and saw celebs compete with one another by doing various Olympic-style events.

Over the four series, 10 celebrities were crowned champions, including Kirsty Gallagher and Jade Jones.
