Holly Willoughby thanks John Torode for 'saving' marriage over husband's annoying habit

Holly Willoughby has shared husband Dan Baldwin's "annoying" habit - and admitted it's putting a strain on their marriage.

But the This Morning presenter thanked John Torode for "saving" their relationship with his solution to their problem.

Ahead of a phone-in on lockdown relationship struggles, Holly revealed something irritating she had discovered about her hubby while he worked at home.

Holly explained that Dan's loud typing on his laptop keyboard was driving her crazy - and it gets worse when he brings it into bed.

She said: "I tell you what, Dan is obviously working from home and I have discovered something that I didn’t know before which is really annoying.

"He taps and types really loudly. There is no reason to hit those keys as loudly as he does."

Phillip Schofield and Vanessa Feltz began laughing as Holly mimicked Dan frantically typing his keyboard.

She added: "I'm like, 'Shut up! Don’t do that'. Especially when he brings the laptop into bed and says he’s writing an email. I’m like, ‘No!’."

Phillip pointed out that this was on top of "crisp-gate", with Dan giving his wife a hard time for the way she eats the salty snacks.

When Phil asked his co-host what her husband finds annoying about her, she replied: "I’m practically perfect in every way. I do nothing."

Phil suggested that viewers could ring in with things they find annoying about their partners - and Holly claimed Dan could get payback.

Luckily, Masterchef star John Torode was on hand to come up with a solution to their problem.

Before making his banana-stuffed french toast, he said: "Just for you Holly, you know yo can turn the volume of a laptop keyboard down.

"The boom of the keyboard can go down so the keys don’t make a much noise."

Thanking John, Holly replied: "I thought it was the physical tap. Sorry, mind blown. You’ve just saved our marriage."

After John's cooking segment, cheeky Phillip couldn't resist another dig at Holly and started loudly tapping his fingers on the desk.

Giggling Holly cried: "Stop it! Don't you start."
