Holly Willoughby struggles to ‘hold on to her gag reflex’ as Phillip Schofield eats a block of Spam on This Morning

Holly Willoughby admitted she was about to throw up after her This Morning co-host Phillip Schofield happily ate a can of Spam.

The presenter threw her hand over her mouth in disgust as Schofield picked at the cooked meat as part of Alice Beer’s cleaning segment, where she addressed the myth of using spam to clean furniture.

Willoughby was left scowling as Beer rubbed the meat over a table, forcing her to hit out at the author who came up with the hack: “Rubbing it on the table? Bet he rubbed it over his body or something weird.

"Anyone who gets a spam out of a can and rubs it on his furniture is probably...”

Schofield couldn’t resist taking the opportunity to tease Willoughby by chasing her with a newly-opened can.

Running away from her friend, the TV star pleaded: “Can you stop eating that please? I’m just holding onto my gag reflex I swear to God."

As the pair moved on to host the next segment, Willoughby demanded that Schofield does not touch the Spam again.

Viewers were left baffled by Willoughby's hatred for the meat, with one declaring her "too posh" for it.

Another added: "@Hollywills' hatred for Spam is something else."

Over the weekend, Willoughby divided Dancing on Ice viewers after she appeared on screens in a low-cut Versace gown, which also featured a thigh-high split.

Several fans branded it “too early” in the evening and “inappropriate for a family show.”

Willoughby did not respond to the criticism.
