Holly Willoughby burst into tears on This Morning as her team celebrated her 40th birthday.
The much-loved TV star was treated like royalty by her co-host Philip Schofield and the wider This Morning team who showered Holly with gifts and kind gestures on her milestone birthday.
During Wednesday morning’s fun-filled instalment, the proud mum-of-three became immediately emotional after she was gifted a nostalgic birthday cake - one of three she received.
Holly’s nearest and dearest surprised her with a handmade dollhouse creation which was modelled on the cake she had at her second birthday.
Prompted by her co-host Phillip, Holly opened up a huge brown box which had the special cake hidden inside.
Upon seeing the 'Holly's House' recreation, the TV star became speechless and attempted to control her tears.
Holly was also gifted a crystal cake - reflecting her love of the healing rocks - and a caterpillar.
Ahead of her This Morning appearance on her big day, Holly slipped into her mother's 40th birthday party dress as she reached the milestone age.
She looked incredible in vibrant navy and pink floral peplum dress in honour of her mother Linda.
Holly revealed that she was sad that she couldn't celebrate with her dear mother on her birthday amid the ongoing pandemic, but admitted that wearing her dress made her feel 'close' to her.
The proud daughter marked the poignant moment by sharing a throwback snap of Linda, now 72, proudly wearing the dress in 1988.
Alongside the snap, she penned: "This photo of my Mum was taken on her 40th birthday at the party she had in the garden. I remember this day so clearly.
"It’s a strange thing to reach the age you remember your Mum being! I asked her if she’d kept the dress and of course, she had... Strange moment zipping it up this morning, wondering how she felt on her big day.
"I can’t be with my Mum or Dad today but wearing this in her honour makes me feel closer to them... love you Mumma!"
Holly has been showered with gifts and gushing birthday messages from celebrity pals on her special day including Piers Morgan and Keith Lemon.
