Holly Willoughby slammed a comment made to her friend and co-star Alison Hammond on today's show.
Alison appeared on This Morning to talk about her quest for love.
The presenter has taken part in E4's popular series Celebs Go Dating and spoke to hosts Holly and Phil about her experience.
Speaking with Alison, Holly said: "It makes me emotional."
Alison went on to say James Locke, her co-star, gave her a backhanded compliment on the show.
Alison said: "He did say something to me, he said, Alison you're my absolute perfect girlfriend - personality wise. I was absolutely devastated."
Holly was obviously shocked by his comments, branding them "rude" and "cheeky".
Alison went on to explain she struggles to connect with potential partners and said: "When I really fancy someone, they think I'm joking."
Holly said she felt Alison's humour was a defence mechanism and said: "You make everybody laugh, you make everybody giggle, it's almost like a shield."
Alison said "With my job, I have to strike up a rapport with someone so I find dating quite easy" and added, "but at what point do you notice a connection?"
The presenter went on to describe what she wants in a partner and said: "I think I like someone who makes my heart sing, someone who makes me giggle."
She added: "Someone who can control me a little bit" and said, "but not too controlling... someone who's secure in themselves."
Holly said: "You are an absolute prize."
