Holly Willoughby shares holiday throwback as she brands luxury trip a 'distant memory'

Holly Willoughby treated fans to a glimpse of her sunny Easter getaway as she prepared to go back to work on This Morning.

The presenter, who returned to the show on Tuesday alongside Phillip Schofield, shared a throwback to her holiday in the Maldives, calling it a “distant memory”.

In the snap, Willoughby beamed as she rode a bike through a picturesque scene in the luxurious Six Senses Laamu resort.

“Back to school... wish I’d arrived like this today!” Willoughby wrote in the caption. “Holiday beginning to feel like a distant memory but the benefits are staying strong.”

Fans were quick to comment on the “beautiful” snap, hailing the 38-year-old “gorgeous”. Others expressed their excitement at seeing her back on the popular ITV show after a short break.

Over the weekend, Willoughby shared pictures of her and pal Davina McCall surfing together, having bumped into each other while out in the Maldives.

“You are a total dream boat my kids adore you and seeing our two Chester’s together was just AMAZING!... thank you for taking me surfing... love ya!”

Willoughby also shared a rare photo of her three children under the beautiful sunset, with Belle, eight, standing in between her brothers Harry, nine, and Chester, four, while pointing up at the sky.

The presenter’s only daughter celebrated her eighth birthday while on holiday, with Willoughby posting a sweet snap of her gazing at a rainbow to mark her special day.

She wrote: “And then like that she was 8.... Happy birthday beautiful Belle... keep following that rainbow... love you so so much xxx.”

Willoughby and Schofield were back to business on Tuesday and kicked off proceedings with a quiz hosted by The Chase star Anne Hegerty.

In the end, it was Team Schofield – also consisting of Vanessa Feltz and Sharon Marshall – who stormed to victory after sailing through the Latin and memory rounds of the mock gameshow.
